Director's Statement

January 29, 2017

GROOVE U welcomes and supports students and staff without regard to their immigration status.

We will continue to admit students and hire staff in a manner consistent with our non-discrimination policy. Once a student is admitted or a staff member is hired, GROOVE U is committed to fostering an environment in which each and every individual can flourish.

In accordance with federal law, the enforcement of immigration law rests with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection. GROOVE U does not partner with federal, state, or other local law enforcement agencies to enforce federal immigration law except when required to do so by law.

GROOVE U maintains a strong commitment to the privacy of records for all students and staff, consistent with state and federal laws. We do not provide or share information on the immigration status of our students and staff to anyone except when required to do so by law.

Our student tuition and staff compensation are consistent and transparent, regardless of an individual's immigration status or origin.

Should any GROOVE U student or staff member feel prejudiced or otherwise discriminated against, please bring the matter to our attention so that we can swiftly investigate the allegation and take the appropriate response.

Confidential counseling and referral services are offered to all students and staff.
