(614) Media Group, the company behind products like (614) Magazine, Stock & Barrel, and 614NOW.com, are launching a new music series featuring musicians local to central Ohio. The sessions will take place in our downtown offices, and will be filmed and uploaded to our Youtube channel. At this time, we envision these as acoustic performances featuring small ensembles or solo singer/songwriters. We are seeking the assistance of an intern to handle all aspects of producing quality audio recordings of these sessions, which will be essential to the success of the project.
The ideal candidate will
Have the skills necessary to properly mic the artists.
Possess the know-how to mix/master the tracks produced at the session for use in a video to be posted online.
Assist in any other aspects of this project pertaining to audio that we at (614) might not be aware of, within reason. We have basically zero practical knowledge of audio technique and technology, so we might need you to fill in our blanks!
Must be willing to work for internship credit.
Strong communication and audio-technical skills.
Ability to adapt to the situation.
Strong organization and punctuality.
Must have access to recording equipment capable of capturing high-quality audio from small acoustic ensembles on-site in our office.
Fan of local music and a fun-loving attitude are a plus!
The expected commitment for this internship will be 3-5 sessions of 2-4 hours each, with the possibility of more in the future. Interested candidates should email a cover letter and résumé to Mike Thomas at (614) Media at email@example.com.
