Below are two summer internship opportunities to help produce AMERICANAFEST 2019. These opportunities are unpaid and we can provide course credit if needed.

We kindly ask that applicants do not list a preference for a position. Both have their own emphasis but overlap quite a bit with all tasks pertaining to the event.

AMERICANAFEST / Americana Music Association - Marketing Internship

Internship to run mid-May through September 20

Hours: 12 per week to start with hours increasing as event date approaches

Must be able to work in the Americana Music Association office in Nashville
Must be able to commit to AMERICANAFEST week, Sept. 10-15, at least 8 hours per day

Ability to learn basic Photoshop and intermediate social media knowledge are preferred.

Software programs utilized in our office include Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), FileMaker, Google Drive, Microsoft Excel, Dropbox and Jotform. Will be trained on any relevant systems relating to position but must have working computer knowledge.

Position Overview:

This internship position will assist in marketing campaigns for this year’s AMERICANAFEST, potentially creating and manipulating graphics, maintaining social media presence, tracking/gathering content for program books as well as editing/proofing them, inputting data into the mobile app/festival platform, filing paperwork, etc. Intern may also be asked to complete tasks related to other departments in the association. Must be willing to run errands for supplies, pick up lunch, etc. (Mileage will be reimbursed)


AMERICANAFEST / Americana Music Association - Event Coordinator Internship

Additional tasks will include editing and proofing program books, maintaining our website, inputting data into the mobile app/festival platform, filing paperwork, etc. Coordinator may also be asked to complete tasks related to other departments in the association. Must be willing to run errands for supplies, pick up lunch, etc. (Mileage will be reimbursed)
